That Week At Camp

I have a story to tell you. I’m sure you’ve gone to a camp at least once in your life. If not, I’m not sorry for your loss. Nothing ever happens anyway. Boring activities, bugs even in the fall, and people who go missing if you blink too long. The movies are just as stale as the real thing, so maybe watch those instead.

But there’s one camp that no soul has ever truly seen. Deep in the middle of nowhere. Few who’ve attended ever live to tell what happened during that month. This story reveals the darkest part of that hell.

Hellishly hopeless. Even worse than most camp memories. People probably don’t talk about it because they forget the second they leave. Dirty. Depressing. Little to do. Food, never worth dying for.

This camp is the story people tell to scare each other. A nightmare so surreal no one wants to even think about it. Sometimes the one telling it gets emotional, choking on how awful it was. It’s just that terrible.

But you can handle how terrible this camp is… right? I believe in you.
